At this time, Covington House is not actively seeking additional web design resources. However, if you are interested in submitting an application, you may do so by email through our Contact Us page. Our selection process is primarily portfolio based so be prepared to show a portfolio of work whether commercial or for demonstration purposes.

At Covington House, we are very serious about standards compliance and we expect our designers to adhere, as closely as is reasonable, to World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) current standards, that means XHTML 1.0 and 1.1 and CSS. XHTML 2 and HTML 5 standards will be very important very soon as well.

Candidates with experience in Macromedia Flash and ActionScript, SilverLight, JavaScript, PHP, ASP.NET and other related web technologies will obviously be preferred. Experience and skill with photographic and computer graphics is also a plus, please be prepared to present a portfolio of these as well. Candidates should have a solid knowledge of the technical aspects of web graphics, bandwidth issues, standards compliance, browsers, operating system platforms, etc.

Neither a college degree nor a high school diploma is required. Industry certifications are desired (i.e. Brainbench, etc.) Unfortunately, we are only able to manage our teams in English and we must require a certain level of spoken and written English. Internet access is also required - much of our internal communications happens via email and instant messaging.
